Michelle is a landscape architect, educator, and design justice organizer.

My design practice brings together my backgrounds in ecology, art, and advocacy. I have 15+ years of professional experience in the design, construction, and co-creation of landscapes and gardens. I’m passionate about using horticulture and plant-driven ecological design to restore our communities and connection to the environment.

Currently, I am practicing landscape architecture out of Chicago, IL.

My roots began as a community organizer in the Asian American/Pacific Islander communities and environmental justice movement spaces.

I have a B.S. in Natural Resources and Environment from the University of Michigan and dual Masters of Landscape Architecture and City Planning from University of Pennsylvania.
